He filed his petition alleging that public sentiment had been hurt by the "vulgar kissing scene".

"The scene hurt millions of families. It is immoral and promotes something alien to our culture. Taken this in view, I filed a complaint against Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan," he said.

Most Bollywood on-screen kisses, the Times reported, are sanitized pecks on the lips. Rai and Roshan's kiss was reportedly much more drawn out.
